RTU32M
Flexible RTU Architecture - 'Click Together' To Build Whatever You Want
Flexible RTU Architecture:
Start with a CPU and power supply, then add I/O or system modules (4x serial, 4x Ethernet, VGA etc). Powerful and ‘future proof’ CPU The i.MX6 200-900MHz processor runs embedded RT OS and has guaranteed availability well into the future.
Distributed I/O:
In a fixed or segmented arrangement Create an RTU solution using up to 250 I/O modules, that can be distributed in multiple segments/blocks. Smart Modules with ID, Data Quality and Timestamps. Enhanced I/O processing. In addition to reporting of data values – modules also report data quality, firmware and hardware revision, status, timestamp of last change (1ms resolution) and serial numbers. Compact Size – with front terminations. Each module is only 110mmH x 25mmW x 95mmD
DIN Rail Mount – Two Part Modules:
Each module comprises of a lower backplane bus portion that mounts on the DIN rail and an upper module portion.
Hot Swap Modules:
A module can be replaced/swapped while the RTU is operational. Module configuration parameters will then be automatically updated.
Redundancy:
Add another P/S or CPU module Add another power supply to share the load and takeover if the other unit fails, or add another CPU module to increase the system availability.
WiFi Support:
RTU setup from a tablet/phone The option for WiFi allows secure access to the RTU web server using a browser to easily manage RTU configuration and view data values/graphics.
Industrial Security Requirements:
Security of data, restriction of access to configuration setup and version control have all been enhanced to meet the latest industry requirements and expectations. Other new features include HTTPS (secure/encrypted web connections) and VPN (with support for multiple connections).
Network Redundancy Protocols – HSR and PRP:
The RTU32M includes HSR (High Availability Seamless Redundancy) and PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol) and Network Bonding. These interfaces are used in substation automation applications to provide ring and parallel network solutions.
RTU32M Worksuite – Software Tools to Manage Your Application:

RTU32M Worksuite – Software Tools to Manage Your Application:
PLC Functionality:
WorkSuite includes ‘wizards’ for creation of the I/O setup and program variables. Create and edit logic applications using IEC61131-3 function blocks, ladder logic and structured text programs. Utility Industry Protocols Many products claim to have RTU functionality – but most do not have a full suite of protocols. RTU32M protocols include; MODBUS, IEC60870, DNP3, IEC61850, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, MQTT and SNMP.
Web Server Configuration and html5 User Displays:
Easy access to setup/data The RTU32M web Server allows access to the RTU setup. Change port settings, update firmware, monitor network activity and more from a web interface. Publish user displays as html pages for display on your tablet or phone.

LB2 I/O MODULES
For Use With RTU32M and RTU32N Series
The Brodersen LB2 modules can be used with RTU32N and RTU32M series. The I/O modules are in two parts, bottom part containing the backplane bus, and top part containing the I/O board and logic. All LB2 modules are hot plug. LB2 modules are all equipped with 200 MHz processor to process I/O, handle filtering, SOE, debounce, module clock and general module logic. Diagnostic variables are available for all LB2 modules.
Firmware update is handled from RTU level in Brodersen worksuite.
Use only genuine Brodersen bus cables for connection to Brodersen RTUs and extension of I/O module blocks. The connection cables for LB2 is special made to handle the power requirements and shielding to run communication. The maximum overall length of complete system is 5m. Each I/O module & Power supply module is calculated as 2 cm. The cables are as the length indicates, e.g. UCC-610/1 count as 100 cm.
Maximum possible system configuration is 250 I/O modules on one LB2 Bus.

RTU32N
Next Generation RTU
Brodersen Next Generation RTU32N Series with advanced RTU/PLC functionality.
The RTU32N series is based on 32-bit architecture and provides the RTU/PLC with power and leading edge functionality. RTU32N provides open and adjustable platform with both the power and functionality required to control advanced industrial applications. RTU32N supports up to 4 PLC kernels simultaneously. This enables the user to have e.g communication settings in one program, PLC logic in second, process recording in third, and the fourth PLC kernel…just because we can. Add drivers on the fly, all drivers are already in the RTU32N, type in the license nr. when you need to interface with something new.
Physical communication interfaces include 2 x LAN 10/100MBit/s, 4 x COM ports and 2 x USB ports. The RTU32N offers support for communication devices like data radios, GSM/GPRS/3G, Wi-Fi, dial-modems etc. Making it the perfect future proof solution for new applications and for mounting in areas where there are no hardwired communication facilities.
The RTU32N supports a variety of standard and open protocols such as Modbus, IEC60870, DNP3 and IEC61850, HSR, PRP. It also includes the fast event based Binding protocol – a quick and reliable way of distributing time stamped event data between any Brodersen RTU32 series on the network.
The RTU32N has a web-based configuration interface for setup of the RTU ‘personality’ e.g. IP address, VPN, IO range, Slave address etc. Additional RTU functionality, including logic, messaging and logging are configured in the Brodersen WorkSuite. And is supports the new I/O system based on LB2 Bus.
The RTU32N Series also features:
